Learning how to get to school without the car

Where better to learn about active travel than at school?

Find out how Clackmannanshire Council is using our Smarter Choices, Smarter Places funding to educate its youngest residents about the benefits of getting to school by walking, wheeling, cycling or scooting.

Active travel planning in schools means children build up the skills and confidence to travel to and from school in a more active way, boosting their health and lowering car emissions.

Supported by Transport Scotland, Smarter Choices, Smarter Places is Paths for All's behaviour change programme encouraging people to travel actively and sustainably by walking, wheeling, cycling and using public transport.
