The 11th annual Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities Conference returns to Edinburgh on 12 June 2019.
Celebrating over a decade of promotion and development of Active Travel in Scotland, the conference’s theme is “Widening Access to Active Travel.”
We’ll be looking at how technology can help people travel more actively and examine issues surrounding transport poverty and accessibility.
A stellar line-up of keynote speakers includes Adrian Davis, professor of transport and health, Transport Research Institute and the newly-appointed Active Nation Commissioner Lee Craigie.
A diverse range of breakout sessions will see delegates participating in interactive workshops, hearing presentations on the latest research and projects, or taking part in active demo sessions.
The Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities Conference is delivered by Scotland's leading Active Travel charities: Cycling Scotland, Living Streets Scotland, Paths for All and Sustrans Scotland.
