The project will work with disadvantaged young people not traditionally engaged in physical activity to improve their confidence, mental health and well-being by reducing the risk of obesity and many chronic diseases whilst also providing them with the opportunity to socialise. Young people from the African community need regular sports and more social platforms where they can enjoy and achieve as a family. The Health walk project will help tackle inequality through enabling young people from deprived and socially excluded community who would not normally have the chance and opportunity to engage in walking.
