The project, Stepping Out is a partnership between Paths for All and Arthritis Care Scotland, part of Arthritis Research UK, and is part of a wider campaign to encourage everyone to become more active. It supports people to become physically and socially active within their community and allows them to develop and shape the identity within their individual groups.
Our Health walks are aimed at everyone, including those with long term medical conditions such as arthritis. Our Stepping Out Project provides access to Health walks in various geographic areas in Scotland, some weekly and others bi monthly. We have two in South Ayrshire, Prestwick and Troon, one in North Ayrshire, Eglington Park, and four in Argyll and Bute, Rothesay, Dunoon, Campbeltown and Helensburgh.

All our health walks are short, safe, low level and reflect individual pace, they always incorporate the social side to walking and encourage people to stay for a cuppa afterwards.
Through our Stepping Out Project we offer the opportunity for people to connect and access a form of exercise that is beneficial to both their physical and mental health, our Walk Leaders are fully trained enthusiastic, friendly individuals with lots of local knowledge to help guide you on your journey. Please join us for a fun walk, or why not Volunteer to support a group.
