Linda Bates from ASH Scotland sent in the following report on her workplace's virtual challenge to tackle Scotland's munros, all 282 of them!

 ASH Scotland1

"ASH Scotland (Scotland's charity taking action on smoking and health) has got two teams competing for glory in the Walk at Work Step Count Challenge, Sole Survivors and the Fleet Feet of Frederick Street.

"In the style of Blue Peter but with a Tam Weir twist (kids, look him up on the interwebs if you don't know who he is!) we've got our own Munro Totaliser to inspire us to claim the Red Bunnet of Triumph. Each team has their own chart to map their progress, with the joint totaliser seeing how we fare against each other.

ASH Scotland2

"With 282 peaks of 3000 feet or more, it's going to be tough – but we reckon we can do it. Ready, steady...walk!"

If this has pricked your interest then you may like to know that STV has uploaded lots of their Weir's Way archive onto YouTube. It's an amazing glimpse into the lives and landscapes of Scotland's recent past. Here's some of Tam's best bits. Enjoy!
