Quarry aggregate, ranging in size from 100mm – 40mm to dust, clay contaminated stone removed by pre-screening quarried rock at the primary crusher, often referred to as quarry waste. Similar in appearance to Type 1 granular sub base, but of a lower quality. Quality is variable, but often cheap. Can be used as fill material to make up the sub grade, or, if carefully selected, as granular sub base for the path base.
