We're looking for an experienced Development Officer to join our friendly, expert Active Environments team.

Welcoming, safe and accessible outdoor environments can improve our physical, mental and social health by allowing people to be physically active outdoors, and helping people to connect with and get closer to nature.

You'll be joining a team that focuses on empowering communities in Scotland to take the lead in creating, promoting and maintaining safe, welcoming community paths and active routes for everyone.

Our team provides support to community organisations, community groups and access professionals improving local paths throughout Scotland.

Over the past two years, we've developed an innovative training opportunity to inspire young people to make a difference in their local community. 'Path Skillz' is a five day learning experience which equips young people with the knowledge and practical skills they need to successfully plan, manage and deliver a community path project.

We're looking for someone to support our work with Community Path groups and develop our Path Skillz programme.

You will have work experience in community development, youth work or outdoor access to take on this role, as well as excellent partnership building skills, experience of managing, monitoring and evaluating projects, and a creative approach to developing project resources.

We offer the opportunity to be part of an organisation that recognises staff as our most valued asset.  Attractive employment conditions include a contributory pension scheme and flexi-time policy.  Paths for All has achieved the Healthy Working Lives Gold Award.
