Dementia Friendly Kings Park

Fountain in Kings Park StirlingWe want to turn Kings Park in Stirling into Scotland's first dementia friendly park.

We have received funding from Life Changes Trust to look at ways of making Kings Park in Stirling more accessible for people living with dementia and carers. In doing so, people with dementia and carers will be able to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of walking and the outdoors.

Through the project we will carry out a public consultation. This will gather the views and opinions of the local community on a range of topics. We also plan to establish a working group made up of people with dementia, carers and stakeholders to assess and make decisions based on the consultation results.

You can contribute your views by taking part in our online consultation.

We are working with Active Stirling, Friends of Kings Park (a volunteer group who work with Stirling Council, local schools and the community council to maintain the park) and Stirling Council.

You can donate to the project on our crowdfunding page online.
