Over 8 weeks teams of 5 will record their daily step counts using pedometers. The emphasis of the challenge is on setting personal goals and getting more active. We’ll also give you tips, challenges and ideas on how to create a virtual journey by counting your steps and converting them into miles. There will also be some fantastic prize draws. Where will your challenge take you?
This year’s challenge begins on the 5th March and will run for 8 weeks. To register your workplace for the challenge you need to:
1. Download the Registration Form and Coordinator Information Pack
2. Recruit your teams and send us your Registration Form
3. Distribute Participant Information Pack and pedometers to your teams
4. Complete a short online survey
5. Get walking
Walking has lots of benefits. A physically active workforce has been shown to take less sick days and be more productive. It should also give a healthy boost to staff morale and team working. If you are working towards your Healthy Working Lives Award then participation in the challenge will also contribute towards this.
