Path Promotion
Overview: This one day course provides an introduction to developing path promotional materials in a friendly workshop setting.
Date: 6th March 2012
Location: The Melting Pot, Rose Street, Edinburgh
Cost: This course is free to community volunteers (£90.00 for non- volunteers)
Who is the course aimed at? This course is aimed mainly at community groups, community councils, development trusts and health walking projects who are looking to create path promotional material to encourage local people to use local paths more within their area.
What will I learn? The course will look at the following aspects:- What is path promotion?
- What makes a good leaflet?
- What makes a good design ?
- Advice on the best way to use text, maps, photos, artwork and logos within promotional materials.
- Workshop sessions looking at examples of path promotional materials, and also discussing your own project.
- Other types of path promotion materials including panels/interpretation boards, websites, mobile phone apps and other apects which make path promotion effective such as quality of paths.
