Paths for All offer a range of courses to equip Volunteers with the skills and knowledge to lead health walks. Most of these courses are available locally usually via a local walking for health project.

As a new volunteer with a walking for health project, you can attend the one day Volunteer Walk Leader Training Course in your local area. For volunteers who have been letaken_by_Leti_Hawthon_1ading for 2 years or more there is a 3 hour Refresher Training Workshop.

We have designed a one day Safety Outdoors Course, aimed at building confidence amongst volunteer walk leaders in risk assessment, route planning and emergency action.

We have worked in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport to develop a 1 day Disability Inclusion course that will promote disability awareness and inclusive practice, ensuring health walks are accessible for everyone who needs it.

Seeing Sense Workshop
For those working specifically with visually impaired individuals or groups or those with hearing loss we have a 3 hour Seeing Sense workshop to raise awareness of how this affects walkers.

Paths for All recommend that volunteer walk leaders are Emergency First Aid trained, although this is not compulsory. Listed are a number of national First Aid Providers.
