Improving Access to Paths

PDF Print

Overview: This one day course provides the essential information needed for you to improve access to paths for everyone. The course highlights the different needs of a variety of path users, while looking at the potential barriers to access some people experience. The course also focuses on the Equality Act 2010 and how this fits with path improvement, maintenance and design.

You will experience both indoor and outdoor environments during the day, which will help you to evaluate your own path and information provision, in order to make reasonable adjustments to make it more accessible to a wider range of users.

The course can be attended on its own or as part of a two day training course package if you wish to attend the Accessibility Auditing & Phototrails training course the following day.

Cost: Free to community volunteers (£90 for non-volunteers)

Who is the course for? Anyone involved or interested in the management or development of paths and information provision on paths.
