Overview: This one day course provides the key information needed to improve path access for everyone - with particular focus on barriers which can affect path access for disabled users. The course highlights methods of evaluating the accessibility of a path and highlights how to use this information to notify members of the public.
You will experience both indoor and outdoor environments during the training day, which will help you to evaluate your own path provision and information in order to make reasonable adjustments to make it more accessible for a wider range of users.
This course can be attended as a one-day course, or as part of a two-day training course if you wish to attend the Improving Access to Paths training course.
Cost: Free to community volunteers (£90 for non-volunteers)
Who is the course for? Community Volunteers, Development Trusts, Access Officers, Countryside Rangers and any others who are interested in the development, improvement or management of local paths. This course is also useful for those who create information on paths.
