Take a look at 11 things our walkers have said in 2016
If anyone is considering joining a walking group my advice would be not to be frightened and to come along and give it a go.
We are committed to promoting equality & diversity and equal opportunities in all our work. We work in partnership to develop and deliver good practice guidance.
Within our programme of training we have courses that will support you to be inclusive in delivering your walking programmes, or to design accessible paths (for all). For more information on our training courses click here.
We have also developed a number of toolkits and publications that will give you more information on meeting the needs of the widest possible audiences. Visit our downloads section to see the complete list. Our publications draw on good practice guidance provided by the Fieldfare Trust and the BT Countryside for All Standards and Guidelines document.
The latest legislation relating to this area is The Equality Act 2010 which brings together and replaces 9 big equality laws and about 100 smaller laws including The Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
