Volunteering Opportunity - Macmillan Walk Leaders

PDF Print

We are looking for volunteers in Glasgow to lead short, local, weekly walks for people affected by cancer.

Pmacmillan logo smlaths for All are working with Macmillan Cancer Support to develop WalkMORE programmes throughout Scotland to support people affected by cancer to take the first steps to become more active. We want to make sure that everyone affected by cancer has access to appropriate physical activity opportunities and we need volunteers to help us to achieve this.

There are a range of exciting opportunities that volunteers can be involved in through the WalkMORE programme including: Walk Leaders, Assistant Walk Leaders, and Pedometer Leaders (all volunteers will receive training and support). Through these volunteer roles, you could make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

If you would be interested in volunteering with the WalkMORE project, or would like more information please contact macmillan@pathsforall.org.uk, or call Hazel Robinson on 01259 222338.
