ATLAS Arts, a visual arts organisation based in the Isle of Skye, have joined forces with the local Step It Up Highland walking for health group to run a series of local walks with artists.

During September and October, everyone is welcome to attend the low-level walks on the Isle of Skye and Lochalsh are part of Tha Seo Math Dhuibh | Good For You, in collaboration with Aros. All the events are now listed on the Atlas Arts website.

Walking has been the source of inspiration for artists, poets, writers and thinkers for generations. It is also central to many people’s lives, be it for pleasure or livelihood. This programme connects community, art and the environment through a series of walks designed to highlight different areas of Skye and Lochalsh and introduce participants to the work of local artists and how the environment inspires their creativity.

This is an opportunity to meet new people, discover walks in your area and improve your fitness.

All walks led by trained walk leaders along side the artists. The groups are friendly and welcoming and will support new walkers to build up their pace and distance.
