NHS Health Scotland have produced promotional stair climbing posters that you can order free of charge to encourage employees and visitors to use the stairs more in workplaces. 2011 is the European Year of Volunteering so to celebrate, a group of local volunteer involving organisations and volunteers are working with Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE- the new Third Sector Interface) Stirling Council, Forth Valley College and NHS Forth Valley to plan a week of Volunteering celebrations throughout Stirling to celebrate and inspire the estimated 25,000 volunteers who donate their time, knowledge and efforts in hundreds of different ways to make Stirlingshire communities a better place to live. We are calling the week –FestiVOL and it will take place every year to celebrate Volunteer's Week at the beginning of June.
