If you've got as far as reading this, you've probably already got a host of ideas for new and improved paths in your area. It's tempting to rush in and start building, fixing or signing routes straight away, but in the long term you'll probably be more successful if you spend some time planning your work first. This section focuses on planning out your ideas before you start turning them into reality.
Hopefully you've already contacted other people in your area who are interested in working on paths and maybe you've already set up a paths group. The next step is to work out what your objectives are as a group – what do you want to do with paths in your area? To figure that out you need to know what's there already as well as finding out what local people want to see happen.
