Welcome to Local People Local Paths, a community resource produced by Paths for All.

Path users with a mapThere are many communities across Scotland who want to improve the paths in their local area.  Many also want to improve the promotion of the paths they already have, so that more people can get out and use them every day. But we all have different levels of knowledge and expertise, so this guide has been written as an introduction to developing and improving your local paths. It's divided into sections based on a simple approach of Planning, Doing and Reviewing. You can work through each section in turn, or you can dip in and out of different areas. You'll find lots of the sections are linked to each other, so you can follow different pathways (no pun intended!) through the guide.

Local People Local Paths is intended as an introductory guide for both individuals and path groups, but you'll find there are links to other documents which can provide more in-depth coverage of some of the important topics.
