Active_Travel_ConfNational Active Travel Conference: 

'Walking, Cycling, Connecting Communities'  

This is an annual event organised by Paths for All, Living Streets, Sustrans and Cycling Scotland.  For more information, presentations from 2011 and previous years and plans for the 2012 event go to:  walkcycleconnect.org

This year's conference was held in Edinburgh on 8 March 2011.  The event was chaired by broadcaster Louise Batchelor and speakers included:   

Adrian Davis, Public Health and Transport Consultant, on the economic case for investing in walking and cycling, and

Gerhard Ablasser, City of Graz, Austria, on the city’s successful investment in sustainable mobility.  

There was a Question Time session with Members of the Scottish Parliament, chaired by Paul Tetlaw, Transform Scotland.
