Scale of AAP

PDF Print

Although there are relatively few AAP schemes in Scotland there is certainly a wide variety in terms of scale. Examples include AAP projects that involve:

  • A single local path
  • A local path network
  • Part or all of a long-distance route
  • Hill paths
  • A national path network

AAP Scheme Type

Different AAP scheme types have evolved depending on the requirement, interests and abilities of those involved. Examples of AAP types include those that are about:

  • Path survey, monitoring and recording
  • General maintenance, annual litter pick, etc
  • Specific development projects such as replacing a bridge or helping to build a new link path
