Paths to Health are developing training for people interested in organising workplace based health walks. Three types of training are available:

Workplace Walk Organiser
This full day course is aimed at key individuals within workplaces who are taking the lead in setting up workplace walks. The course will cover:
- Risk assessing health walks
- Marketing
- Motivating participants
- Recruiting volunteers
- Demonstration health walk
After the course, the organiser will use their skills to recruit a group of workplace volunteers who will lead the walks. For course dates click here, or to note interest in this course please contact us.
Workplace Walk Leader
This half day course is aimed at volunteers within the workplace who will lead the health walks. The course will cover:
- The role of a workplace Walk Leader
- Benefits of walking
- Barriers to physical activity
- Motivating people
- Demonstration health walk

Workplace Walk Leader Combined
The Workplace Walk Organiser and Leader Combined Course is a condensed course consisting of the main elements of the two separate courses, in some cases time pressures require this course to be delivered rather than the two separate courses.
