Start Walking and Feel the Difference - a toolkit for promoting walking for adults with a learning disability
The aim of this resource is to assist and encourage health walk scheme coordinators as well as support staff and health professionals to develop health walks and walking opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. Walking is the ideal activity to promote to inactive people because it is easier to start and sustain than many other physical activities.
The toolkit contains several case studies from around Scotland, plus some information about how to get a walking group started.
